It was a brisk autumn morning in wine country when we arrived at the start of the 2013 Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon. After photographing the runners at the start of the race we headed to join the Girls on the Run at the volunteer water station near the six mile mark. It was great to see the majority of runners, whether costumed or not, in good spirits nearing the halfway mark. We got smiles and waves from the majority of runners.
From there we hustled throughout the roadblocks making our way to the finish. With my lovely assistant dropping me off I was able to catch most of the field just before they crossed the finish.
Congrats to all the runners, and be sure to search through the hundreds of photos to find yours at http://bit.ly/HealdsburgHalf . We will be making a donation to the Girls on the Run Sonoma Chapter for every print ordered to thank them for volunteering for the race.
